1974, Nicho Produce had grown large enough that incorporation
and inclusion in the Blue
Book Handbook became necessary. As times have
changed, and larger, national store chains have opened
in the Rio Grande Valley, they too have found that ordering
their produce from Nicho Produce Co. Inc. leads to satisfied
customers and maximized profits.
In 1992, expansion of our facilities became
necessary, as our services grew to include In and Out
loading and unloading. We added an additional 2
cold rooms and 3 rooms for banana ripening. Currently,
we store all produce at its' appropriate temperature and ripen
bananas as our customers' needs dictate.
Recently, we've entered the Fresh-Cut
produce market, and have built a top-of-the-line slicing and
dicing, cutting and shredding kitchen.
We now carry our own "A Cut Above" label on such
processed product as: taco-cut lettuce, Caesar
Salad mix, carrot and celery sticks, cole-slaw mix,
sliced and diced onion, bell pepper, and a South Texas
favorite - sliced jalapeņo.
